به گزارش ایرنا و به نقل از 'تركمنستان.رو'، روز 16 تیر ماه سال گذشته انفجار شدیدی در یكی از انبارهای مهمات در شهر آبادان كه در 20 كیلومتری عشق آباد پایتخت تركمنستان قرار دارد، رخ داد.

با وجودی اینكه تركمنستان ابتدا این انفجار را مربوط به آتش سوزی در انبار ترقه و وسایل آتش بازی در این شهر اعلام كرده بود، اما ساكنان محلی گفتند در این انبار انواع سلاح های نظامی از جمله مهمات، راكت و خمپاره ذخیره شده بود.

پس از این انفجار تعداد زیادی منزل مسكونی، كارخانه و فضای آموزشی كه در محدوده انبار قرار داشتند، تخریب شدند و حدود 15 نفر از جمله دو نظامی كشته شدند.

دولت عشق آباد اعلام كرده كه قصد دارد آبادان را در مكانی جدید در ناحیه رخ آباد در استان آخال بنا كند.

تركمنستان از پیشنهاد دهندگان درخواست كرد اسناد مربوطه به آمادگی خود برای ساخت این شهر را باید تا روز 17 خرداد ماه سال جاری به وزارت ساخت و ساز این كشور تحویل دهند.
